Elected Auditors

Though most townships now have professional accounting firms perform audits of their financial transactions, the Township Code still provides for elected auditors. In Antis Township, these auditors meet once annually in January to review a summary of the previous year’s income and expenditures. The Finance Director/Township Treasurer also reports on general news related to taxes or atypical financial developments. Auditors are also charged with setting salaries for township supervisors who may be employed by the township in one capacity or another. That is not currently the case in Antis, however, so that oversight is not necessary at this time.
